Now is the time to compose delicious drinks with the still fresh cucumbers from our regions!
Easy and quick to make, it is an ideal drink on hot days.
Ingredients for about 4 people:
- 1 cucumber
- 150 g sugar
- 25 cl of water
- 15-20 cl of lime juice according to taste
- zest of 2 limes
- 3 sprigs of mint
- 1 piece of 5 cm ginger fresh
- Sparkling water.
Put the water, lemon juice and zest, the unpeeled and chopped ginger, and the sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 8-10 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the mint leaves and let steep for 30 minutes at room temperature. Filter and pour into a pitcher.
Cut the cucumber in 2. Blend the first half and add to the mixture. Cut the second half into thin slices and add them to the pitcher.
Place in the refrigerator and let macerate for a few hours.
Serve with sparkling water and ice cubes, to taste.
